More changes ar looming for the UK’s Tier 4 visa system because the government finetunes its new Immigration Act, set to be declared this time of year. Speaking at StudyWorld this week, UKVI’s India Pamnani told delegates that the govt is designing on consolidating visitant visa classes and is considering offering a less expensive Premium Service for smaller suppliers.
Speaking at the StudyWorld honest in London this week, Pamnani told delegates that the fifteen short-term visitant visa classes are going to be reduced to simply three; “most being absorbed into the ‘visitor’ route”.
Visa holders are going to be given more flexibility for the activities allowed under every visa, including work or study, he added.
And in 2015, the govt plans to rebrand the scholar visitant Visa (SVV) – that permits students to check up to 6 months or up to 11 months on the Extended SVV (ESVV) – because the “short-term study” visa.
“The name will modification however the standards will remain an equivalent,” same Pamnani.
He also same that a less expensive version of the £8,000 each year Premium Service may be declared by Apr next year. This service enables education establishments to pay to expedite processes, with an individual case worker and regular updates on CAS approvals issued.
The lo-fi version of the premium service would be aimed toward smaller suppliers WHO subsume a lower volume of scholars. Pamnani did not make sure what proportion the govt would charge or what the scale requirements would be.
