Hundreds of would-be students travellers have been forced to abandon charity fundraising visits abroad after UK-based gap year travel firm, nice UK Charity Events (GBCE) Ltd, commercialism as Student Adventures, collapsed last week.

GBCE has issued assurances that around a hundred students who were abroad when the announcement was made, the last of whom ar thanks to return from Asian country on eighteenth September, “are experiencing their adventures as expected” which their flights have been absolutely paid for.
However, all flights departing on or after 28 August have been cancelled, fulfilling a obligation to reduce creditors’ losses, according to Events Director, Jock Wright.
It is unclear how many students have been affected, however according to the meningitis analysis Foundation, which says it is operating to seek out various arrangements for prospective travellers, 125 fundraisers for the charity were thanks to travel with Student Adventures in September alone.
“Participants departing these days were knowledgeable last night by email and text that everything has been cancelled down. this will be true of each group from these days forward,” Wright same in a very statement. “Under a managed process by [accounting firm] Smith Cooper the liquidation process are going to be finished and creditors where attainable are going to be reimbursed.”
Around forty students from the University of Nottingham received messages informing them of the cancellation whereas checking in at London’s Gatwick airdrome en route to mount kilimanjaro.
